Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure®

We hope that you will join us for on April 17^th at the State Capitol for the Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure®  – a fun filled day honoring breast cancer survivors and all who support them!  Register before February 1^st to take advantage of our discounted registration fees. 

 Race day is truly celebrations of life and hope.  At the heart of our work are the women, men and families who have been touched by a breast cancer diagnosis and Race day is a time when we come together to celebrate their strength and courage. 

 Race for the cure is an unforgettable and rewarding experience and the dollars we raise makes an unparallel IMPACT in so many lives, right here in Mid-Michigan!

 It is because of the efforts of our Race participants that we have grown from 1,700 participants raising $125,000 in 2003, to more than 6,700 registered participants raising nearly $400,000 in 2010.  

 The success of our Race has allowed us to provide crucial funding to local nonprofits to provide uninsured and underinsured women with access to screening, education and survivorship programs.  To date, the Mid-Michigan Affiliate has invested over 2.5 million in our mission.  This would not have been possible without the fundraising efforts of every participant.

 Let’s keep this celebration of hope growing! Remember, YOU are the CURE; register today to walk or run, and join us in the fight against breast cancer.

 "Pink Out" the Breslin Center!

Sunday, February 13th @ 2:30 p.m. 

The Michigan State University Women's Basketball team is hosting their annual "pink zone" game, in what is sure to be an epic battle, against the University of Michigan Wolverines. 

For a small donation of only $5 you can be there to watch these teams in action!

100% of the proceeds from tickets distributed through our office will directly benefit the Mid-Michigan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. 

The Michigan State Spartans will be sporting pink jerseys in support of breast cancer awareness.  There will be many giveaways including custom designed pink t-shirts to the first 500 people to arrive! 

The halftime show will feature local breast cancer survivors and Komen Mid-Michigan will be on the concourse distributing breast health information and answering questions.
